DSP LEAD SUPERVISOR, OPERATIONS

Cheyenne trains new caregivers, covers shifts, creates documents, and supports our ongoing employees — often all in the same day. Her path to this work is deeply personal: before joining PPFI, she cared for her twin sister, who had a disability, and she wanted to make that same impact in the lives of others with physical or mental disabilities. What keeps her here is the way the team supports one another and the chance to make a real difference every day.

Outside of work, Cheyenne loves spending time with her kids, bowling, and reading. A former flute player, she shares her home with a tuxedo cat named Cupid, and you'll often find her exploring new nature areas and hunting for waterfalls around the region.

Kyle

VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS

Kyle keeps the gears turning behind the scenes so our Direct Support Professionals can focus entirely on what they do best: helping individuals in the I/DD community thrive. He oversees agency compliance with Oregon Medicaid regulations, optimizes operational workflows, and makes sure families and team members have everything they need to succeed — bridging the gap between regulatory requirements and person centered care.

Before joining PPFI, Kyle spent more than 20 years managing high-purity specialty chemical and packaging facilities, and he brings that same dedication to precision and people-first leadership to our team. What he loves most here is the people and the purpose: PPFI is a family-oriented organization, and knowing that a smoother process directly translates to better support for a family is deeply rewarding.

Off the clock, Kyle explores the Pacific Northwest, works around the house, and attends dog shows — he's the President of the Silver Falls Kennel Club. He shares his home with Gigi, a Pyrenean Mastiff, and Serenity, a Great Pyrenees, and loves that Salem puts the Oregon Coast, Willamette Valley vineyards, and the mountains all within a short drive.

Ian

DOCUMENTATION SPECIALIST

Ian processes monthly and quarterly reports for all of our clients and maintains the required Relias lessons on ADL reporting, ISP documents, and Desired Outcomes as required by the state. He works directly with employees on corrections and additional support, and provides translations for non English entries in Spanish, Arabic, and Tigrinya. His favorite part of the job? Working with a kind, supportive team with realistic expectations — and the fun dog stories.

Ian's background is remarkably varied: he's been a K–12 special education, technology, and German teacher, a DSP, a radio producer, a construction worker and estimator on communication towers and roofing, and worked in food service and retail. Outside of work he plays music, works out, runs, reads, and writes. Having lived in New Mexico for years, he can recognize almost every filming location in Breaking Bad. He doesn't currently have pets of his own, but the neighbors' pets visit regularly — and if his band is playing, you'll find him at the venue.

Deborah

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Outside of work at PPFI, Deborah's passion is showing her dogs, Gigi (a Pyrenean Mastiff) and Serenity (a Great Pyrenees). Her favorite local spot? Don Froylan.

Sara

SR. DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES

As Senior Director of Human Resources, Sara builds the people systems that allow both employees and the organization to thrive. Her work spans employee relations, leadership development, organizational strategy, compliance, and culture but at the heart of it all, she helps people navigate work more successfully. Her favorite part of the job is helping people recognize and grow beyond their own perceived potential. Sara's background covers HR, talent development, recruiting, and organizational strategy across logistics, manufacturing, aviation, healthcare, and nonprofit environments. She holds an MBA, SHRM-SCP, and PMP, and is currently pursuing her doctorate in business administration. And before all that? She worked as a flight attendant and a merchant mariner aboard a cruise ship, so her career has included helping people navigate the workplace, the skies, and the sea.

Sara spends most of her time with her husband, their blended family, and a full house of teenagers and pets, including two puppies named Princess and Potter, who are equal parts adorable, mischievous, and convinced they run the household. She also writes books and poetry, teaches leadership courses, volunteers with youth sports, and loves exploring the waterfalls, trails, and rivers around the Portland area.

Elijah

OPERATIONS LEAD

Elijah handles all client-related documents and communication between PPFI and our clients' Case Managers, and oversees the Recruiting department to keep operations running smoothly. His favorite part of the job is hearing the stories caregivers share and seeing the relationships that form through this work. Before PPFI, Elijah built his career in management and customer service, working his way up until he found a role that keeps him engaged and satisfied — both monetarily and morally — more than any job before it.

Born and raised in Salem, Elijah is proud to support the community he grew up in. He spends his free time exploring the Pacific Northwest with his partner — hiking, kayaking, riding ATVs, or finding a good swimming hole — and at home he enjoys reading, video games, and dramatic TV. He has two cats: Jorge, his companion of seven years, and Nosfuratu, young and full of life. On a good day, you'll find him at one of Salem's many parks.

Sarah

DIRECTOR, VETERAN'S SERVICES

Sarah coordinates individualized support services for Veterans, connecting them with qualified caregivers and support professionals who fit their needs, schedules, personalities, and preferences. Her work spans recruiting and onboarding providers, facilitating communication among Veterans, families, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community partners, and resolving concerns before they escalate — always advocating for each Veteran's independence, dignity, safety, and quality of life. What she loves most is building meaningful relationships and bringing a whole support team together to solve problems and create dependable systems of care.

Before joining PPFI, Sarah owned and operated a tabletop gaming store for 10 years and has extensive event management experience dating back to 2008. Outside of work she gardens, sews, crafts, volunteers in her community, and indulges a love of true crime documentaries and podcasts. She shares her home with two rambunctious Border Collies, Sadie (3) and Yuki (1), and her favorite way to spend a Salem morning is brunch at a downtown café.

Kacey

SUPPORT COORDINATOR, RECRUITING

Kacey oversees the hiring and onboarding process from initial application through employment — matching qualified DSPs to clients, keeping communication flowing, and serving as the primary contact for applicants and new employees every step of the way. She loves that no two days are the same, and she strives to be a positive, steady presence for people navigating what can feel like an overwhelming process, making the journey smooth and welcoming.

Outside of work, Kacey spends most of her time with her three children, supporting them in their sports and activities — being a mom is a huge part of who she is. She recharges by running solo with her music on full volume, shares her home with a cat named Twix, and loves making memories with her kids all around the city.

Kim

LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, TRAINING

Kim assesses training needs to keep PPFI in step with state compliance requirements, and designs and implements engaging training programs tailored to a variety of learning styles. She monitors and evaluates training effectiveness, ensures the company meets state training mandates, collaborates with department heads to align training with employee needs, and provides CPR training through both new classes and refresher courses. What keeps her motivated is the work itself: helping families and meeting their need for I/DD services. Kim brings more than 30 years of experience in safety, training, and HR across a range of industries — though she'll admit she always wanted to be a librarian.

Outside of work, Kim enjoys camping, hiking, and crafts. Most weekends you'll find her at dog shows with her German Shorthaired Pointers, and she occasionally raises a litter of puppies. Between 5 dogs, 2 cats, and 4 goats, her mini farm keeps her busy — and her favorite place to be is right there on her porch, watching the dogs play and taking in the scenery.

Jordan

Outside of work, Jordan likes to make music and play piano. To recharge, Jordan enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and cuddling with his cat. Other interests include computers, video games, and vintage sci-fi films.
